We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team at a school.
This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in supporting pupils who require additional help to access learning and thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom to access the curriculum and develop social and emotional skills.
- Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and external professionals to deliver tailored interventions and behaviour support plans.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students, helping to boost confidence, self-esteem and emotional regulation.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support as required.
- Promote a calm and nurturing environment, using de-escalation and behaviour management strategies effectively.
