Vision for Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Thornton Cleveleys, Lancashire to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. This exciting Higher Level Teaching Assistant opportunity in Thornton Cleveleys, Lancashire is due to start in November 2026 and will initially continue for the remainder of the 2026/27 academic year, with the potential for a permanent position in 2027 for the right candidate.
The Role
The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Thornton Cleveleys, Lancashire will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the primary age range.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils' learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
- Delivering planned lessons to whole classes to cover PPA time and teacher absence.
- Leading targeted 1:1 interventions to support pupil progress.
- Delivering small group intervention sessions across a range of curriculum areas.
- Working closely with class teachers and school leaders to ensure continuity of learning.
- Supporting pupils of varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
- Helping to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements
To be considered for the Higher Level Teaching Assistant role in Thornton Cleveleys, Lancashire, you will:

- Be confident delivering lessons to whole classes.
- Have experience delivering intervention support to individuals and small groups.
