About The Role

Are you a University Graduate who is interested in a career in Education? Do you have experience of working with children? If so, you can gain paid work in mainstream secondary schools across Sheffield supporting pupils with learning disabilities, additional learning needs, or social, emotional and mental health needs.

The desired Graduate would be working in the capacity of a Teaching Assistant and/or Cover Supervisor, providing vital support to both teachers and pupils.

The suitable candidate would be provided with the appropriate training and support for this role.

You will be required to build positive relationships with pupils, devise strategies to overcome barriers to learning, and help them to get the most out of their time in education.

This can either be full or part-time dependent on your circumstances.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Education Graduate you will:

  1. Have a warm and friendly nature to be able to build positive relationships with pupils.
  2. Either have completed, or be working towards a qualification such as: Sport and Exercise Science, Sports coaching, PE and school sport, sports performance, Psychology, Sociology, Business studies, Humanities, Mathematics, English Literature/Language, Science, Technologies and languages.
  3. Be willing to work in Mainstream secondary school settings in the capacity of a Teaching Assistant and/or Cover Supervisor.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  1. Have relevant experience of working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults.
