Vision for Education is recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join a friendly nursery setting in Dursley. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to play an important role in supporting their early learning and development.
You'll be joining a welcoming team that is committed to creating a fun, safe and nurturing environment where every child can flourish. The role is full-time, working Monday to Friday, and offers the chance to become a valued member of a supportive nursery setting.
The Role
As a Nursery Assistant, you will:
- Support children aged 0-5 through play-based learning and daily activities.
- Encourage children's social, emotional and educational development.
- Help create a safe, engaging and stimulating environment.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
- Support children with additional needs where required.
- Work closely with the wider nursery team to ensure every child receives the best possible start.
About You
To be considered for this Nursery Assistant role, you will:
- Hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
- Have experience working with children aged 0-5 years.
- Be confident supporting children at different stages of their development.
- Be reliable, caring and passionate about early years education.
- Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.
Experience supporting children with SEND or knowledge of phonics programmes such as Letters and Sounds or Jolly Phonics would be advantageous but is not essential.
