Do you have experience as a carer or support worker and are seeking a new challenge in a rewarding and unique role? Vision for Education is recruiting for an eager Criminology Graduate to fill the position of Youth Worker at one of our partner schools in York. The school is responsible for steering young offenders, from the ages of 10-17, in the right direction. The students at this centre are often from deprived backgrounds, primarily with behavioural and learning difficulties, in addition to problems with their social, emotional and mental health.

The appropriate candidate will be able to show confidence and resilience when interacting with the students. A background in criminology and previous relevant experience would be highly beneficial to your application. The main responsibility of the successful candidate will be intervening when difficulties arise and guiding the pupil accordingly to help them understand the causes and consequences of their actions.

Pay for this position ranges from £85 - £95 per day, with typical working hours being between 8:30am - 3:30pm.
