Vision for Education are currently recruiting Cover Teachers with QTS to work in secondary schools across Stoke-on-Trent.

About the role

As a Cover Teacher, you will deliver pre-set lessons across a variety of subjects in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will ensure continuity of learning, maintain a positive classroom environment and uphold high standards of behaviour.

This role is ideal for qualified teachers looking for flexible supply work, a better work-life balance, or the opportunity to experience different school settings. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects at Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Maintain a positive, focused and productive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Support students in completing set work and achieving their learning objectives
  • Adapt confidently to different schools, subjects and classroom environments
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
  • Build positive relationships with students and school staff

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience working in a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability across different subjects and schools
  • Confidence delivering lessons outside of your specialism
  • A genuine commitment to supporting students' learning and development
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
