The School and Role

A well-established specialist SEN school in Hillingdon, West London, is looking for an experienced Cover Supervisor / Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team for an immediate start.

The school is one of the largest specialist provisions in the borough, supporting over 300 pupils with a range of additional needs, including moderate to severe and complex learning difficulties, autism, sensory processing difficulties, and associated speech, language and communication needs.

Working primarily with secondary-aged pupils, you will play an important role in maintaining continuity in the classroom, supporting learning and ensuring pupils receive the guidance and structure they need to thrive.

The successful candidate will be confident leading lessons and managing a classroom in the teacher's absence, delivering pre-planned work, adapting activities where needed and supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in SEN who is confident taking the lead in the classroom and wants to make a real difference to young people's lives.

Please note: Candidates must be available to start immediately and hold either a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or a recognised HLTA qualification.
