Classroom Cover Supervisor - Coniston

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play an important role in the school community, supporting pupils across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
You’ll supervise classes in the absence of their usual teacher, deliver pre-planned lessons, and create a positive environment where pupils can stay focused, engaged and motivated.
No two days will necessarily be the same, and you'll have the opportunity to build your confidence, develop your classroom management skills and gain first-hand experience of life in a secondary school.
It's a fantastic stepping stone if you're considering a career in teaching — and a rewarding role in its own right.

You might already have experience working with children or young people as a:
- Sports coach
- Youth worker
- Teaching assistant
- Support worker
- Volunteer
- Education or childcare professional
You don't need a formal teaching qualification to apply. What matters most is your ability to build positive relationships with young people, communicate confidently and create a calm, supportive environment.
Not sure about classroom management? Don't worry. Training and support can be provided to help you develop effective behaviour management techniques and grow in confidence.
About the School
We are working with a secondary school in Coniston that is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisor to provide classroom support and cover.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a school community, work alongside experienced teachers and gain valuable experience in secondary education.
The position is available immediately, with opportunities available on an ad-hoc, short-term or ongoing basis, depending on your availability and the school's requirements.
