Vision for Education is recruiting SEND Support Workers to work in specialist schools and SEND provisions across the Coleford (GL16) area.
As a SEND Support Worker, you’ll work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them to access learning, build confidence and develop essential life skills within a safe and supportive environment.
About the Role & Schools
We are recruiting for flexible day-to-day, long-term and permanent SEND Support Worker opportunities across specialist settings in the GL16 area. You’ll be supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, including autism, SEMH, ADHD, communication needs and learning difficulties. Every school is committed to providing an inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their individual goals.

Role Responsibilities
As a SEND Support Worker, you may:
- Provide one‑to‑one and small group support throughout the school day
- Help pupils engage with learning and classroom activities

- Support pupils with their social, emotional and communication development
- Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families and school staff

Requirements
To be considered for this SEND Support Worker role, you should:
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people
- Be patient, caring and resilient
- Be confident working as part of a team
- Have experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults (desirable but not essential)
- Be willing to undertake relevant training and continuous professional development
- Be able to provide suitable references
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
Salary is dependent on experience, training and qualifications.
