Position: School Cleaner
Location: Redbridge
Hourly Rate: £14.80 - £16.00 per hour
Smart Teachers are working with a welcoming and well-established secondary school in Woodford Green who are looking to appoint an experienced School Cleaner to join their premises team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking cleaner who has previous experience working within a school environment and understands the importance of maintaining high standards of cleanliness across an educational setting.
Please note: applicants without previous school-based cleaning experience will not be considered for this role.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and communal areas
- Ensuring the school environment is safe, hygienic and welcoming for students and staff
- Following cleaning schedules and health & safety procedures
- Working independently while supporting the wider site team when required
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous cleaning experience within a school, college or educational setting (essential)
- Good attention to detail and pride in their work
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
- Understanding of safeguarding expectations within a school environment
Requirements:
- Previous school-based cleaning experience is essential
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- References covering recent employment history
