The Role
As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will be supporting pupils with Learning Disabilities and Challenging behaviours to work to the best of their ability to make the most of their education and learning. You will assist and encourage the young adults to take part in all activities and tasks carried out by the school including physical activity, lessons and crafts. The young people will have needs such as autism, developmental language disorder, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, EBD, ADHD, PMLD, SLD and moderate learning difficulties. This role can be very rewarding for somebody who is wanting to make a positive impact on a young person’s life.

The schools cater for children with special education needs and has the best teams and technology to help children adapt and grow into adult life. This school in particular will be based in the Doncaster area and was rated ‘excellent’ by a recent Ofsted report. The school caters for young children between the ages of 3 – 19 years old.
Requirements
To be considered for the Classroom Support Assistant position, you will have:
- Previous experience of working with behaviours that challenge is highly desirable
- An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or the willingness to apply for one
- The ability to work on initiative and proactively
- The desire to work with young people with special educational needs
- A driving licence and car or accessible public transport links.
- Available Monday to Friday
