Vision for Education is seeking an experienced Care Assistant to work in an SEN School in Stourbridge on a full-time basis.

About the Role
- As a Care Assistant your role will be to help support children with complex physical and medical needs and associated communication and learning needs.
- You need to be a pro‑active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable care assistant to join the team.
- This position would be to work with children across the primary and secondary age range.
- You will support pupils with their day‑to‑day personal care needs and work alongside other professional staff to further pupils’ personal independence skills.

- Providing education and care for young children and young people from the ages of 6-19 with a variety of social, emotional, physical and learning difficulties, including autism and visual impairment.

About you
- Provide practical assistance in relation to other identified physical needs e. g. mealtimes, organisation of learning equipment.
- Recording and reporting on care needs.
- Assisting pupils in implementing their own personal care programmes during the school day, specifically in relation to practical support for; personal hygiene; toileting and continence training; and eating and drinking.
- Have experience in a similar role.
- Have, or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS on the update service.
