WE'RE HIRING - HIGH-NEEDS SEND TEACHING ASSISTANT
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with complex additional needs? We are looking for a caring, patient and dedicated High-Needs SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Chelmsford.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with complex learning needs
- Support children with SLD, PMLD and autism
- Assist with communication, sensory activities and personal care where required
- Help pupils develop independence, confidence and life skills
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Work closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff to meet individual needs
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND or complex needs
- Experience with autism, SLD, PMLD or high-needs settings is desirable
- A patient, compassionate and proactive approach
- Confidence supporting pupils with varying levels of need
- A genuine passion for helping every child reach their full potential
Position: High-Needs SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
Hours: Full-time, term-time
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
