THE ROLE

Vision for Education are looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join a welcoming Early Years setting in Chelmsford.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Early Years professional to lead a room, support a team and create a safe, fun and stimulating environment where children can learn and thrive.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the day-to-day running of your nursery room
  • Support and motivate a team of Early Years practitioners
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities
  • Support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS
  • Monitor children's progress and complete observations
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
  • Promote positive behaviour and independence
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and health & safety

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience within an Early Years or nursery setting
  • Relevant Early Years qualification, ideally Level 3 or above
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • Previous Room Leader or leadership experience is desirable
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A caring, enthusiastic and nurturing approach
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and children's wellbeing
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
