Vision for Education are recruiting for a Catering Assistant on a part time basis for a SEN school, in Robertsbridge, to start next academic year.

About the role We are seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic catering assistant to join a dedicated team within a specialist SEN school.

This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a positive dining experience for pupils with a range of additional needs, helping to ensure they receive nutritious meals in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment.

Working alongside the Catering Manager, you will assist with the preparation, serving, and cleaning of meals while maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and serving of meals, snacks, and refreshments.

Set up and clear down dining areas before and after service.

Support pupils during mealtimes, promoting a positive and inclusive environment.

Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen procedures at all times.

Wash kitchen equipment, utensils, and crockery, ensuring cleanliness standards are maintained.

Replenish food and beverage supplies as required.

Help maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen and dining area.

Work collaboratively with school staff to meet the needs of pupils.

About You Drives and has access to own vehicle Is friendly, approachable, and enjoys working as part of a team.

Has previous experience in catering, hospitality, or food service.
