Vision for Education is working in partnership with a highly supportive and inclusive specialist primary setting in Burnley, Lancashire to appoint a dedicated Primary SEND Teacher. This rewarding opportunity is due to start in September 2026 for the full 2026/27 academic year, with the potential for permanent opportunities beyond this. An earlier start in June 2026 may also be available for the right candidate.

The Role

  • Planning and delivering creative, engaging and highly differentiated lessons.
  • Adapting teaching approaches to meet a wide range of learning needs and abilities.
  • Supporting pupils with autism, physical disabilities, learning difficulties and medical needs.
  • Creating personalised learning opportunities that enable pupils to make progress from their individual starting points.
  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other professionals to support pupils' development.
  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress and adapting provision accordingly.
  • Supporting pupils' communication, social, emotional and behavioural development.
  • Contributing to EHCP reviews and working closely with families and external agencies.
  • Supporting personal care requirements where necessary.

Experience supporting children or adults with autism, medical needs, physical disabilities or learning disabilities is highly desirable for this Primary SEND Teacher position in Burnley, Lancashire.
