Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work across a range of welcoming primary schools in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils' learning while taking on additional classroom responsibilities, including delivering lessons during teacher release time and planned absences.
This role begins on a full-time supply basis through Vision for Education , with opportunities for long‑term placements and permanent positions for the right candidate.

The Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will
- Deliver pre‑planned lessons across a range of primary year groups.
- Provide high‑quality classroom support alongside class teachers.
- Lead intervention groups to support pupils' progress in core subjects.
- Support pupils on a one‑to‑one basis and in small groups.
- Help create an engaging, inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers and senior leaders to support the smooth running of the school.
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you will
- Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or have significant experience in a similar role.
- Have recent experience working within a UK primary school.
- Be confident leading whole‑class learning when required.
- Have excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Be flexible, reliable and passionate about supporting children's learning.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
