Vision for Education are seeking Cover Supervisors to work within schools in Birmingham.

About the Schools

We work alongside warm, inclusive, and forward-thinking SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities) schools in Birmingham where they provide high-quality education, care, and support to pupils with a range of additional needs.

The Role

We are seeking confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join our supportive agency. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is motivated by making a meaningful impact each day. You will be stepping into different classrooms to deliver planned lessons, support learning, and maintain a positive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and key stages
  • Support pupils with diverse needs including Autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) and complex needs
  • Create a calm, safe, and engaging learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and model emotional resilience
  • Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures, and behaviour support strategies

About you:

To be considered for the Cover Supervisor role, you will:

  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant experience
  • Have strong communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
