About the Role
Vision for Education are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teachers to work as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across Hull and the East Riding. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a career in teaching, education, youth work or pastoral support to gain valuable paid experience within secondary schools before progressing onto teacher training or a PGCE.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-set work across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
- Supervise whole classes during teacher absences.
- Deliver pre‑planned lessons and activities.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Support students to remain focused and engaged.
- Report back to teaching staff following lessons.
- Build positive relationships with students and staff.
