Vision Support Assistant - Behavioural Support | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity | Basildon
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and helping them build confidence, independence and positive relationships?
We're currently recruiting for a dedicated Vision Support Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive specialist setting in Basildon, providing tailored support to pupils who may require assistance with visual needs, communication, learning and behavioural regulation.
The Role

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs

Support students with visual impairment and communication needs
-
Provide positive and consistent behavioural support
-
Help pupils manage emotions and develop appropriate coping strategies

Encourage independence, confidence and positive social interaction

Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, therapists and families

Follow individual support plans and contribute to a safe, nurturing environment

Promote inclusion and ensure every pupil can access learning successfully
Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
The role initially starts on a temporary basis, giving you the opportunity to build strong relationships with pupils and the wider school team. For the right candidate, there is potential for the position to become permanent.

Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, term-time only
