Vision for Education are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and confident individuals to work as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across York.
Are you a recent graduate, considering a PGCE, or interested in pursuing a career in teaching? This is an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand experience of working in a secondary school, develop your classroom management skills and discover what a career in education could look like.
No teaching qualification or previous classroom experience is required. We are looking for individuals with the right attitude, confidence and enthusiasm to make a positive difference to young people's education.
The Role - Cover Supervisor
Working across secondary schools in York, you will:

Supervise classes during teacher absences.

Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and keep students engaged in their learning.

Develop your classroom management and behaviour management skills.

Encourage positive attitudes towards learning.

Build confidence working with different age groups and abilities.

Gain valuable experience within a variety of school environments.
