Vision for Education is seeking to hire a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work on a full-time basis at a Primary School in Ashington (NE63) from September 2026.

The HLTA who is successfully appointed for the role will be based across KS2 at school, covering PPA sessions as well as leading small groups for intervention.

The role will run until the Easter break, but there could be an opportunity for this to extend too.

This is a 'Good' Primary school, where staff foster a love of learning and where children feel happy and supported coming to school.

Requirements

  • The desired HLTA will have;
  • Experience of working with primary school aged children
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND
  • A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team
