ABC Teachers are seeking a 1:1 SEMH LSP Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school in Stoke on Trent starting as soon as possible. This would be on a full-time basis.

The Role Itself

You will be working 1:1 with a specific pupil, assisting in classrooms and providing interventions for a specific pupil while de-escalating stressful situations to help the teacher conduct lessons successfully.

You Must Have

  • Effective behaviour management skills
  • Strong adaptability
  • Great communication skills to be able to cater to the specific child and communicate.
  • A strong passion for learning and showing creativity and helping others.
  • Patience, Resilience and Reliability
  • Strong interpersonal skills to cater to the specific needs of the pupil.
  • Be able to provide 2 solid references covering years’ experience.
  • Hold a DBS registered on the update service or must be able to arrange one.
  • Must have previous experience working within education or with SEN or a similar environment.
