ABC Teachers are seeking a 1:1 SEMH LSP Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school in Stoke on Trent starting as soon as possible. This would be on a full-time basis.
The Role Itself
You will be working 1:1 with a specific pupil, assisting in classrooms and providing interventions for a specific pupil while de-escalating stressful situations to help the teacher conduct lessons successfully.
You Must Have
- Effective behaviour management skills
- Strong adaptability
- Great communication skills to be able to cater to the specific child and communicate.
- A strong passion for learning and showing creativity and helping others.
- Patience, Resilience and Reliability
- Strong interpersonal skills to cater to the specific needs of the pupil.
- Be able to provide 2 solid references covering years’ experience.
- Hold a DBS registered on the update service or must be able to arrange one.
- Must have previous experience working within education or with SEN or a similar environment.
