Are you a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? A welcoming and well-resourced SEN school in Leeds is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will be working closely with pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties, providing 1:1 and small group support to help them thrive. Requirements

  • Ability to relate well to children and adults and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to deal effectively with students presenting challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques as appropriate
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • Knowledge and experience of behaviour management and restorative strategies
  • Experienced and comfortable with personal care
  • Having a driving licence is desirable for this role
