The Role

We are recruiting for Autism Specialist Teaching Assistants to join a either a primary or SEND school in Leeds. Our schools can support students from primary through to further education providing an inclusive and nurturing environment where both students and staff thrive. Due to the needs of each child, you will need to be comfortable with personal care and challenging behaviour working both as an individual and a team to ensure that the child\’s needs are met.

Our Desired Autism Specialist Teaching Assistants Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young adults with Autism and/or other additional needs (education, care, youth work, or similar)
  • A resilient and resourceful attitude
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and an awareness of severe and complex needs
  • An Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or be willing to undergo this check with The Edwin Group

Our Chosen Autism Specialist Teaching Assistants Will:
