Overview

Vision For Education are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate part‑time tutors to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Looked After Children (LAC). This is a meaningful opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives by providing tailored educational support to help each child to thrive in their academic journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, personalised tutoring sessions in a variety of subjects based on each child s needs, abilities, and educational goals.
  • Work closely with council staff, school personnel, caregivers, and other relevant professionals to ensure a holistic support approach.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and adapt teaching methods to address any emerging needs.
  • Provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment to foster learning and boost each child s confidence and independence.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in teaching or tutoring, ideally with experience supporting children with SEN and/or LAC.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and caregivers.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality, particularlyastrally attorney tino with vulnerable children.

Desirable Skills

  • Specialisation or experience in areas such as speech and language, autism, emotional and behavioural needs, or other specific SEN disciplines.
  • Experience in working with children in care and an understanding of their unique challenges.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet each child s unique learning needs.
