Temporary position in Huddersfield with a salary of £89 - £110 per day inclusive of holiday pay. Immediate start available.
Requirements:
- Previous experience of working with children or young people, ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting within the last 3 years.
- Hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS, registered to the Update Service.
The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are recent experience obtained within the last 3 years of working with children or young people.
The Role:
We are currently seeking additional Youth Support Workers for work within our partner Specialist provisions. The role involves supporting groups of children with additional needs such as Autism, PMLD, MLD and social, emotional and mental health needs. Your daily routine will involve continuously adapting and working alongside pupils to make their time in school as beneficial and productive as possible. Your main objective will be to support these pupils and ensure they are not displaying any triggers or signs of unease.
Our main aim is to offer the best possible support to pupils, who have a range of complex learning needs, social and emotional difficulties, and challenging behaviours.
There is ample car parking available. We are continually seeking quality caring staff members, who with additional experience and training may eventually become full-time or even supply support staff members.
