Requirements:
- Previous experience of working with children or young people, ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting within the last 3 years.
- Ability to provide valid references from previous roles.
- Hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS, registered to the Update Service.
The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are recent experience obtained within the last 3 years of working with children or young people.
The Role:
Seeking additional Youth Support Workers for work within partner Specialist provisions. The role involves supporting groups of children with additional needs such as Autism, PMLD, MLD and social, emotional and mental health needs. You will work within group and 1:1 settings with a range of ages and levels of learning.
Your daily routine will involve continuously adapting and working alongside pupils to make their time in school as beneficial and productive as possible. Your main objective will be to support these pupils and ensure they are not displaying any triggers or signs of unease. A nurturing, patient and empathetic attitude will be key to success in this role.

This SEND school is based in the Huddersfield area and is easily accessible via public transport. They support a diverse group of pupils with a range of complex learning needs, social and emotional difficulties, and challenging behaviours. Ample car parking is available.
