We are thrilled to introduce our Cover Supervisor Programme in partnership with schools in our local communities, tailored to support individuals aspiring to embark on a career as a Trainee Secondary Teacher.
The Programme aligned with our client schools, we offer successful Trainee Secondary Teachers top-notch training and paid on-the-job experience. Upon a successful interview and completion of suitability, safeguarding, and identity checks, we endeavour to secure a paid placement in a school to further enhance your skills.
Before commencing your placement, you will undergo a comprehensive training program delivered by Vision for Education and school leaders, equipping you with the essential skills requisite for the role of a Trainee Secondary Teacher.
The Role
As a Trainee Secondary Teacher, you will be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of students within the classroom, supporting students with their learning, including students with SEND and EAL students. Whether you are working in a school as a Cover Supervisor or a Learning Support Assistant, you will be assisting the running and managing of the classroom, ensuring that students work is completed and delivering pre-planned lessons to students.
Additionally, you will aid in recording and reporting pupil progress and behaviour, ensuring children are making notable strides in the classroom No experience necessary!
Requirements for the Trainee Secondary Teacher role
- A Bachelors degree in a any area and a good knowledge of the UK Curriculum.
- Capacity to cultivate positive relationships with children and young individuals.
- Zeal and dedication toward enhancing outcomes for children and young individuals.
- Flexibility, proactivity, and a collaborative spirit.
- Awareness of the critical importance of ensuring the safety of children and young individuals.
- Ability to articulate reasons for pursuing a career in education during the interview process, demonstrating comprehension of the Trainee Secondary Teacher role and its significance within the school community.
- Commitment to completing requisite training and engaging in ongoing CPD.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and enrolment in the Update Service.
