Vision for Education is looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Southend-on-Sea. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference to a child's educational journey by providing tailored support to help them achieve their full potential.

The Role

  • Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a pupil with additional learning needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.
  • Support the pupil's academic, social and emotional development throughout the school day.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement in classroom activities.
  • Help maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within a school or educational setting.
  • Has experience supporting children with SEND, including autism, ADHD or speech and language needs (desirable but not essential).
  • Is patient, caring and able to build positive relationships with children and staff.
  • Has strong communication skills and a flexible, proactive approach.
  • Holds or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
