Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated Qualified Teacher (QTS) with British Sign Language (BSL) training to work in a welcoming secondary school in Chelmsford. This is a full-time position for an initial one-term placement, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract for the right candidate. The Role

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to secondary-aged pupils.
  • Support students with hearing impairments using British Sign Language (BSL) where appropriate.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.
  • Work closely with the school's SEND team and wider teaching staff to ensure students receive the support they need.
  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have British Sign Language (BSL) training or qualification (Level 2 or above is desirable).
  • Have experience teaching in a secondary school environment.
  • Be committed to inclusive education and supporting students with additional needs.
  • Have excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills.
