Are you a recent Psychology graduate seeking experience working with children with moderate learning difficulties? Are you an aspiring educational or clinical psychologist?

The School and Role

This Specialist Secondary School, based in Basildon are seeking a passionate Psychology Graduates to provide 1:1 support to students with special educational needs and disabilities. As a Psychology Graduate you will be working with students with PMLD, autism, physical disabilities, speech and languages needs and global development delay. You will be working with students in the specialist classrooms, therapy rooms and sensory rooms. This school offers a holistic learning environment to teach students a range of life skills, equipped with a swimming pool, music studio, animal care shelters and art rooms. The provision also provides the students with a nurturing and calming environment for them to thrive in. Psychology graduates at this school must be prepared to support students not just in the classroom, but outside as well using the facilities to teach academic skills, life skills and social skills. Requirements

The desired Psychology graduate will have;

  • Experience working with students with learning and physical disabilities.
  • Aspirations of working as a Clinical or Educational Psychologist.

  • A genuine passion for taking care of young people with severe learning difficulties, including personal care.
