About the Role
Vision for Education is seeking enthusiastic, adaptable and dedicated Primary School Supply Teachers to work across a range of welcoming primary and secondary schools in South Woodham Ferrers and the surrounding Essex area. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this role offers the flexibility to choose when and where you work while making a positive impact on pupils' learning. Opportunities include day-to-day supply, short-term cover and long-term placements to suit your availability and career goals.
As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons, maintain a positive classroom environment and ensure pupils remain focused and motivated throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lessons across your specialist subject or key stage.
- Follow school policies and procedures while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Adapt quickly to different school settings and classroom routines.
- Complete marking and feedback where required.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and school leaders.
- Promote safeguarding and the welfare of all children at all times.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
- Recent experience teaching within UK schools.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A flexible and professional approach to working in different school environments.
- A passion for inspiring and supporting young people.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Vision for Education.
- Two suitable professional references.
