Are you passionate about English and driven to help young people achieve academic success? We are seeking a dedicated English Tutor to deliver small group interventions focused on improving literacy and preparing students for their GCSE English exams.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive secondary school setting in Clacton-on-Sea.
The Role:
Deliver targeted English tuition sessions (both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4)
Focus on literacy development, comprehension, writing skills, and GCSE exam techniques
Work with small groups of students (typically 3–12) who need additional academic support
Track and monitor student progress, tailoring sessions to individual needs
Collaborate with school staff to ensure tutoring complements classroom learning
Requirements:
Strong subject knowledge in English Language and/or Literature
Experience supporting students at secondary level, ideally up to GCSE
Teaching or tutoring experience preferred (Qualified Teachers, ECTs, or experienced tutors welcome)
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply through us)
