Vision for Education are currently working with a SEN school in the Hayle area and are looking for somebody to work long term with the chance of a permanent contract for the right person. The role will be working as a Teaching Assistant in a school with students with PMLD. About the role We are seeking a supportive, nurturing, creative and inspirational Teaching Assistants who can provide an individualised and highly personalised learning. Vision also offer a range of full time, part time and ad hoc supply work across SEND schools and PRU’s, if you are seeking something alternate. The role is in a specialist setting catering to pupils with a broad range of SEND ‘needs’ including SLD, PMLD, Learning and Sensory Needs and Neurodiversity. Children are likely to be working at levels below those typically expected for their age and as the Teaching Assistant, you will help support them. Experience roles relevant for this role are: -Teaching Assistant -Youth Worker -Playgroup Lead / worker -Healthcare Assistant -Support Worker About the school The school you will be working in is dedicated to provide quality provision and learning experiences for their students which is both appropriate and personalised in meeting a wide range of complex needs for students from 11-16 years old. Requirements To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant (PMLD) you will: Have previous experience of working with children or young people; ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting within the last 2 years. Hold, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS, registered to the Update Service Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
