Vision for education in Cardiff are actively recruiting psychology and criminology graduates who have an interest in supporting children in a school environment. The role would involve supporting pupils with a variety of learning difficulties and the school are looking for an enthusiastic, bubbly and passionate individual to join their team.
Responsibilities- Support primary aged pupils with a variety of learning and behavioural difficulties on a 1:1 and on a small group basis.
- Assist pupils diagnosed with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down's Syndrome, Sensory Processing and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Develop wellbeing plans and recognise patterns of behaviours to best engage pupils with learning objectives.
- Real desire to implement learnings to help pupils overcome barriers.
- Enhanced DBS Check (we can help if you do not currently have one).
- Completed safeguarding course.
- Right to work in the UK.
- If you have been out of the country for longer than six months in the last five years, provide a valid clearance check from that country.
- Graduating or currently studying psychology or criminology.
- Pay ranging from £92.56 to £108.56 per day.
- Full and part‑time positions available; school hours 8.30am – 3.30pm.
- Numerous long‑term placements, with the option of becoming a permanent member of staff within the schools/centres.
