About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate ALN (Additional Learning Needs) Teaching Assistant to join our team at Vision for Education. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive and rewarding environment, helping pupils with diverse learning needs to thrive and achieve their potential. As an ALN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to students with ALN.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher with delivering differentiated lessons and activities to students with ALN.
  • Assist with classroom management and provide 1:1 or small group support.
  • Help students develop their social and communication skills.
  • Support the emotional and physical well-being of pupils.
  • Monitor and track pupils' progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Promote inclusion and equality within the classroom environment.
  • Comfortable with aspects of personal care.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with ALN, either in a school or similar setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Patience, empathy and a genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development.
  • Knowledge of supporting pupils with specific learning difficulties.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (we can provide support with this).
