Vision for Education are working closely with an Outstanding SEND school on the outskirts of Cambridge to appoint an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with one of their pupils.

About the role

You will be working closely on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with a diagnosis of epilepsy, so background knowledge of this would be highly beneficial. The ideal candidate will be observant, patient and kind and able to work independently and also part of a wider team. This is a full time role from Monday-Friday as there is a strong need for consistency.

This is an outstanding school based on the outskirts of Cambridge. All pupils enrolled here have a diagnosis of Autism and the schools offers a specialised curriculum to each individual pupil to best suit their needs and ensure they are getting the most out of each day. This school offers regular training sessions to staff to help develop a positive team ethos and always increasing knowledge and awareness around a variety of subjects.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and/or experience with epilepsy
  • To have experience working with children or young people with additional needs
  • To be patient, kind and resilient
  • To be willing to process or have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

Salary
