Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a SEND Support Assistant to work in a local primary school in Weston-Super-Mare on a part-time basis starting as soon as possible.

The successful Support Assistant / Learning Support Assistant will be able to build a positive relationship with an individual and provide specialist support in a classroom setting to cater for the special educational needs and disabilities of the child. This is a highly rewarding career that requires a flexible approach, creativity and excellent communication in order to engage the pupil with their learning. The ideal Support Assistant / Learning Support Assistant will be patient, enthusiastic, resilient and motivated to promote the child's progress.

School hours are 08:30am - 15:30pm, term-time only.

Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are to have or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
