Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Classroom Support Assistant to join a forward-thinking special educational needs (SEND) school in Bristol. In this role, you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, PMLD, and moderate learning difficulties. You will help pupils engage in lessons, physical activities, and creative projects, while promoting independence, confidence, and a positive learning experience. This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity for someone who is motivated by helping young people reach their full potential and thrive in a supportive educational setting.

The school is a highly regarded SEND setting for pupils aged 3 to 19 years. It provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student receives a personalised education plan to support their development. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience supporting young people with additional or complex needs (desirable but not essential)
  • A proactive, caring, and patient approach to working with children
  • The ability to use your initiative and work effectively as part of a team
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with SEND
  • An Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday
  • Access to a car or reliable public transport
