We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN setting in Calne. This role is perfect for someone who truly enjoys supporting children with additional needs and wants to help them grow, learn and feel confident every day.
Classroom Support Assistant - The Role:
- Providing 1:1 support as well as small-group support to keep pupils motivated and engaged.
- Supporting children with a wide mix of needs including ASD, social communication differences, sensory needs, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
- Helping to maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
- Assisting with personal care, feeding, and mobility support when needed (training can be provided if required).
- Building positive, consistent relationships with pupils, teachers and fellow support staff.
- Working alongside teachers, therapists and other support staff to ensure pupils receive tailored and consistent support.
- Using visual prompts, communication tools or structured routines to assist children’s understanding.
This position is varied, hands-on and hugely rewarding.

Requirements for the Classroom Support Assistant Role:
- Be patient, calm and adaptable.
- Have some experience supporting children or young people (in any setting).
- Be comfortable assisting pupils with complex needs, including personal care.
- Have strong communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
- Ideally hold a DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
- Be open to ongoing CPD and training to grow within your role.
Salary: £88.92 – £100.00 per day, depending on experience.
