About the Role
Vision for Education are looking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to work on a full-time basis within a welcoming primary school in the TS12 area. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to support pupils during a crucial stage of their primary education. You will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that prepare pupils for the transition to secondary school while fostering confidence, independence, and a love of learning. The successful candidate will join a supportive and collaborative school team committed to providing the best possible outcomes for every child.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons for a Year 6 class in line with the National Curriculum
- Prepare pupils for end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments while maintaining a broad and balanced curriculum
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to promote pupil achievement and wellbeing
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
- A sound understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and assessment requirements
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- A passion for helping pupils achieve their full potential
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families
