Join Vision Express as an Assistant Store Manager at our Oxford Street flagship store, the largest in the UK, employing over 70 colleagues. You’ll work alongside three other assistant store managers and the store manager to lead a high-performing team, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and drive commercial success.
In this fast-paced, dynamic environment, you’ll focus on people management, coaching, and performance development. Confidence is key – you’ll be comfortable having performance conversations, resolving customer complaints, and engaging with in-store events and media activities.

Key responsibilities
- Support the store manager in leading a large team and creating a culture of excellence.
- Drive sales performance, operational standards, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage colleague performance, coaching and developing talent.
- Resolve complex customer issues with empathy and professionalism.
- Represent Vision Express at events and media activities within the store.
- Work flexibly across a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Skills and experience
- Outgoing and confident personality with strong communication skills.
- Experience in problem-solving and handling customer complaints.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Flexible approach to working patterns.
- Optics experience is preferred but not essential – we’ll provide full training.
