Post‑MRCS applicants with registrar‑level experience in trauma and orthopaedics from the UK and around the world are invited to apply to the Trauma & Orthopaedic Department at St Mary's and Charing Cross Hospitals as a Trauma Registrar. The post is available from April 2025 for 12 months, with 1B banding and full‑shift on‑call commitment. It will be based at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, offering the opportunity to learn complex trauma management at one of the busiest Major Trauma Centres in the UK and exposure to elective orthopaedics at the regional Major Revision Centre. Job Responsibilities

The fellow will divide time between outpatient clinics, inpatient cover, trauma and elective operating lists and on‑calls at the MTC. Flexibility will be provided to accommodate the successful candidate’s preferences and interests. This role is ideal for a registrar‑level candidate seeking additional high‑volume MTC experience.

Person Specification

Essential

  • GMC registration with licence to practice by commencement of the post
  • MRCS (or equivalent)
  • Candidature able to speak and write English to the appropriate standard necessary to fulfil job requirements
  • Relevant experience in specialty/sub‑specialty
  • Clinical skills appropriate to job description
  • Understanding of principles of clinical audit
