Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is proud to advertise a post‑CCT Senior Fellow in Foot & Ankle Trauma Surgery based at the North West London Major Trauma Centre at St Mary's Hospital. We are the largest NHS trust in England, and together with Imperial College London we are one of the UK's first academic health science centres (AHSCs). Our five hospitals offer major advances in patient care, clinical teaching, and scientific invention and innovation. The post holder will learn techniques of complex trauma management at one of the busiest Major Trauma Centres in the UK, and gain exposure to elective foot & ankle surgery at Charing Cross Hospital as well as diabetic foot management. Our fellowships prioritise professional development, surgical autonomy and the ability to teach others. Fellows are expected to leave the programme confident in their own abilities and equipped to help train others, with dedicated time for research opportunities.
Main Duties
The Fellow will divide time between outpatient clinics, inpatient cover, and trauma/elective operating lists. Operating lists include both independent and supervised trauma theatre cover at St Mary's and elective lists at Charing Cross. Flexibility is provided to accommodate the successful candidate's preferences and interests.

Job Responsibilities
Post‑FRCS Fellow in Foot & Ankle – a trauma and elective fellowship at post‑FRCS (Orth) level, aimed at gaining experience in Foot & Ankle surgery, especially complex trauma. This post is targeted at Fellows seeking to fine‑tune operative and clinical skills whilst obtaining major trauma experience at St Mary's Hospital. There are weekly dedicated trauma lists and regular elective surgery lists. The post is across‑site (SMH/CXH/HH) with off‑site on‑call at Charing Cross Hospital. Approximately every five months you will also have an SpR of the week on‑call commitment at St Mary's. The job banding is 1B with London allowance.

Essential Qualifications: GMC registration with license to practice by commencement of the post, Post‑CCT by the start of the post.
