Join Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and play a key role in supporting safe, effective and timely patient flow through our busy Emergency Departments at Charing Cross Hospital and St Mary’s Hospital. As an A&E Patient Flow Coordinator, you will ensure efficient movement of patients from arrival to discharge or admission. You will work closely with clinical teams, bed managers, site teams and external partners to ensure patients follow the most appropriate pathway.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service and patient experience.
- Act as part of the Emergency Department team under the direction of the Clinical Lead and Nurse in Charge.
- Maintain standards of conduct and confidentiality, including data privacy and dignity of patients and carers, acting as an ambassador for the Trust and the Emergency Department.
- Support the clinical leads to enable efficient patient flows.
- Manage each step of the patient’s journey in a timely and accurate manner.
- Be flexible and responsive to meet variable Emergency Department service demands.
