An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Allergy Service at Imperial. We need an enthusiastic, dedicated and proactive team player to join our department as an Allergy Pathway Coordinator. The successful applicant will provide vital administrative and coordination support to the allergy clinical team, managing patient pathways and supporting consultants, specialist nurses, and other clinical staff.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate referrals, arrange investigations and follow-up appointments, process clinic letters and respond to queries from patients and colleagues across the Trust.
- Manage capacity within the allocated services, bring patient appointments forward when necessary, and cross-cover other administrative coordinators during periods of unforeseen absences.
- Lead on data capture and validation of 18-week referral-to-treatment pathways; support the management of both inpatient and outpatient waiting lists.
- Contribute to the collection and analysis of data, assess service needs, develop improvement programmes and implement action plans to ensure appropriate outcomes are applied.
- Set up and coordinate clinics and sessions for this service, processing incoming referrals to ensure timely, competent delivery according to protocols and within agreed timescales.
- Ensure patient pathways are managed within access timeframes, booking patients into relevant clinics and sessions (e.g., MRI / Theatre) as appropriate with clinical guidance.
- Work closely with the relevant service team, other health professionals and the Operations manager to guarantee high-quality appointments and services for patients.
