As an Audiologist you will be responsible for supporting your line manager in ensuring the clinical quality of the Adult Audiology Service, ensuring that our service users' needs are met through the delivery of high quality care.
Responsibilities
- The post holder will work unsupervised providing routine audiological assessment and rehabilitation to a wide range of patients.
- Provide counselling to distressed patients about their hearing loss and associated problems, and make decisions about the most appropriate course of treatment for the patient (referring to senior staff when appropriate).
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the Audiology Service, including maintenance of the highest levels of health and safety.
- Participate in supervision and training of students and observe specialist clinics to support decision making in career development (band 5 audiologists).
- Maintain a programme of continuing professional development (CPD) working towards higher levels of professional competence.
- Maintain accreditation as a UKAS accredited site through participation in competency assessments and audits.
