Day Rate: £300-£400 per day (based on experience)
Part-Time: Around 4-6 days per month (potential to increase, if desired)
About Us:
Vision Communications (visioncommunications.co.uk) is a well-established Health and Safety Consultancy and online training provider based in Warwickshire. We partner with clients across the UK to offer tailored, solution-driven support and training. Using our proprietary software, we conduct compliance audits, manage online H&S training, oversee maintenance, and handle risk assessments and accident reporting.
The Role:
We are looking for a Health and Safety Consultant to join our team on a self-employed, part-time basis. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Conducting Health & Safety compliance audits
- Performing workplace and fire risk assessments
You will primarily be working with motor showroom clients across areas between Central-Southern and South-East England. While you can be based anywhere in the region, the Cambridge area offers an ideal location for convenient travel. The role will initially involve around 4 working days per month (approximately 40 audits per year), likely increasing to 6 days per month (around 68 audits per year), with potential to grow further if desired. These days can be scheduled flexibly throughout the month. While the audits will be conducted on-site, report write-ups can be completed remotely from home.
About You:
You will be someone who is self-motivated, with strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help our clients achieve their Health & Safety compliance goals.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)
- Fire risk assessment and asbestos management qualifications (highly desirable, but not essential)
- Ability to travel around Central-Southern and South-East England
- Opportunity for additional work, if desired
Interview Process:
- Submit your CV and cover letter (apply via LinkedIn or email harriet@visioncommunications.co.uk if preferred)
- Initial screening call (approximately 15 minutes) to see if you’re a good fit
- In-person meeting with founder (in Warwickshire) to go through your experience and the role in more detail
