The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Defining, implementing and/or maintaining general Industrial Engineering policies, methods, and standards, as well as principle process blueprints for supply chain operations. Developing, aligning and ensuring implementation of budgets, assigning and monitoring projects and allocating resources. Ensuring or collaborating in the design of cost-effective manufacturing layouts and building ergonomics. Investigating best practices and trends in manufacturing methods, technology developments, and equipment. Ensuring efficient operations across all stages of the supply chain, identifying deficiencies and proposing remedial measures or projects, i.e. efficiency or cost reduction programs. Developing and maintaining operations information, planning, and control systems.
Monitors functional-specific trends and derives recommendations for their (incremental) improvements. Executes focused research. Creates informative reports to support change or adaptation for processes and infrastructure systems. Contributes to projects or processes to improve functional efficiency and effectiveness. Takes over accomplishment of dedicated (local or function specific) workstream, as part of an overarching infrastructure project. Provides local support and consultancy on dedicated subject matters or processes (e.g., as 'System Owner', 'Process Owner'). Performs independent judgement on subjects of relevance for the process assigned.
What You Will Do
- Through Lean Manufacturing and Factory Physics Principles, identify opportunities for improvement and project manage the introduction of new manufacturing systems and procedures to enhance the Fab’s operational performance.
- Deploy Lean and Industrial Engineering principles to remove operational inefficiencies and waste within the workplace.
- Understand and improve OEE performance and be able to drive throughput improvement programmes.
- Develop and improve capacity modelling techniques within the business.
- Reporting and line balance opportunities.
- Dispatch methodology to drive 100% OTD.
- Work with cross-module teams to implement new procedures and manufacturing systems.
- Project manage small and large cross-functional teams.
- Constraint analysis / module performance indicators.
- Speed modelling + throughput analysis.
- Value stream mapping / workflow assessments.
- Capacity.
What You Will Need
- Excel knowledge.
- Data oriented.
- Ideally Green or Black Belt qualified - advantage.
- Industrial Engineering methodologies – advantage (implementation and analysis).
- 6S – working knowledge if improvement program.
- Manufacturing management and performance improvement program working knowledge.
- Project management/leadership experience - advantage.
